Infant Room

Our infant room is set up for 8 infants with two teachers. Each child is on their own individual schedule which the parents help teachers learn through filling out an intake form. This tells staff the child’s routines in regard to eating and sleeping and will be updated by parents every couple months. Diapering is done about every 2 hours or sooner if needed. Feedings are also given according to each infant feeding schedule. At drop off parents are asked to fill out and let staff know when their child was last fed and changed. This is documented at the top of their daily sheet. Our Teachers will continue to update the daily sheet with feedings, diapers, and naps throughout the day. Parent’s Choice Formula, Gerber Baby Foods, and Gerber Infant Cereals are provided by the center unless specified by the parents. Diapers and wipes need to be provided by parents. Parents are welcome to bring bottles and leave them here. They will be properly cleaned and sanitized after each use. As children near one years old, Our Teachers will help them get ready to transition to our Toddler

One year old Room

Our Toddler Room is set up for 8 Toddlers. The toddlers love to go on walks and play outside. Their playground has just the right sized equipment for the children to play learn and grow. Again, in this classroom each child has a daily sheet for the parents to take home which will show their meals, diapers, naps, and daily activities.  Diapering is done approximately every 2 hours in the toddler room. Meals are severed at 8:30 (breakfast), 11:30 am (lunch) and 2:30 (snack). In the afternoon children are provided with a sleeping bag, that is laundered here, to take a nap. When children wake up, they are given a quiet activity until the rest of the class wakes.

Pre-school Room

Our pre-school curriculum is designed with goals for 4K and Kindergarten in mind as well as WMELS. This helps ensure that children are prepared to enter school. Several activities also follow a STEAM based curriculum giving the children more hands-on learning that occurs through play. We teach the children about classroom chores and assigns each child a “job” for the day. Children also sit for a short group time which involves talking about the days of the week, month of the year, weather, alphabet, colors, shapes, theme-related topics, and short stories. Children go outside daily, weather permitting. During this time there is free play as well as a structured activity. Meals are served at 8:30(breakfast), 11:30 (lunch), and 2:30 (snack). In the afternoon children are provided a sleeping bag, that is laundered here, to take a nap. The children are encouraged to sleep though they are not required to sleep. After 30 minutes of rest the children who are awake can get up and do a quiet activity.
